The University of Alabama is a member of the Alabama Space Grant Consortium (ASGC). The ASGC is part of the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program, established by Congress in 1989 and administered by NASA. Since its inception, the National Space Grant has grown to a network of 52 university-based state Space Grant consortia.
The ASGC contributes to the nation's STEM enterprise by supporting a wide range of programs in research, education and public service projects across the State of Alabama. For more information on the ASGC, visit: http://asgc.uah.edu
Scholarships & Fellowships
Each year, the ASGC provides multiple undergraduate scholarships and 2 graduate fellowships to UA STEM students interested in aerospace related careers. These scholarships and fellowships are open to all STEM majors (not just engineering majors). The ASGC also offers multiple Undergraduate Teacher Education Scholarships to undergraduate students majoring in Education with an interest in teaching STEM in a precollege setting.
